Sandwich Harbour, part of the Namib Naukluft Park, is a place many have heard of but very few have ever visited. Giant sand dunes run straight into the ocean, creating breath taking sceneries and unique landscapes, just waiting to be discovered!

Join a unique desert cycling experience, and ride along the dry riverbed and up and down amazing dunes. Stop along the way to take in the scenery of the oldest desert in the world and enjoy the thrill of going downhill on some of the larger dunes.

The Marine Dolphin Cruise followed by a 4×4 dune excursion to Sandwich Harbour in the Namib Naukluft Park - the Epic combination of the best off both worlds.   After the splendours of the Mola Mola Marine Dolphin Cruise you disembark onto the Waterfront Jetty and board the 4×4 vehicles. This is when the sandwich Harbour Dune Experience begins. Mola Mola has coined a phrase for the Marine Dune Day – “EPIC IN A DAY” –  this sums up the cruise in the Walvis Bay Lagoon area with seals and dolphins, and then the adventure and beauty of big dune driving and breath taking scenery, all in one day! A light lunch, with oysters, is served on the boat and afternoon snacks are served on the the dunes.

This living desert tour is a extraordinary exploration of the coastal dune belt just outside Swakopmund. To the untrained eye the dunes are just a pile of sand, however your skilled and experienced guides will introduce you to a wealth of life. This 4-hour 4x4 adventure tour is specially designed for our clients arriving via passenger liner. You will be met & picked up at the Walvis Bay port where your cruise ship will be docking. Before heading out to Sandwich Harbour we first make a stop at the Walvis Bay Lagoon to admire the flamingos and occasionally a great white pelican, flow the Walvis Bay Salt Refiners with all its pink salt lacks. Now we are off to the Nambi Desert -Sandwich Harbour, one of Southern Africa’s richest and unique wetlands. Wedging between the sea and dunes "if tides permit"; if tides forbid, surf the dunes up to the many convenient lookout spots. Lots of time are granted to explore the area as well as photograph opportunities. Finally, enjoy a light picnic lunch with some cold beverages with a natural desert backdrop, then hit the dunes for some more excitement before concluding your adventure to the Kuiseb River Delta, a dry riverbed where you can occasionally see springbok, oryx, or even ostrich.
