This is our Italian art tour, where we will follow the footsteps of three famous sculptors: Bernini, Borromini, and Michelangelo. From our office, in Via del Cardello 31, we will go to the first stop of our tour, Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, where you can admire Michelangelo’s Moses. The work portrays a majestic Moses, sculpted in 1513. Seated in a serious attitude, he rests with one arm on the tables, and with the other holds his long glossy beard.
Next, we will go to the Campidoglio, one of the seven hills Rome.
The next stop is Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful squares in Rome. This square is famous for having 3 fountains, the most famous of them being The Fountain Of The Four Rivers, designed by Bernini. We will also see here the Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone.
Our last stop is Piazza di Spagna, a square well known for having perhaps the most famous staircase in the world, but in this tour we will focus on the Barcaccia fountain, in the middle of the square.

Monti district, today one of the most renowned districts of the city center, was in the past the poorest part of Rome, the ancient "Subura". It became an important religious center in the Middle Ages with the contruction of many important churches, that were constantly renovated during the centuries. Here we will find one of the four major churches of Rome, Saint Mary Major, incredible mosaics and famous artists of the Renaissance and Baroque ages, like Michelangelo and Bernini.

Half-day walking tour of Christian Rome to discover the underground treasures of some of the most sensational churches. The tour begins in the Lateran area, whose name derives from the family that owned the territory where the first Popes resided before going to Avignon in France and then returning to Rome in the Vatican area. Visit to the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, the oldest of the four Papal Basilicas, considered "The Church of Rome", the mother of all churches. The tour continues with a visit to the Basilica of San Clemente, the only church in Rome to be built on 3 different levels, from the 1st to the 12th century and you can explore the underground floors, including the 1st century Mithras Altar. Continue towards the Church of Santi Quattro Coronati, dedicated to four anonymous saints and martyrs. The visit ends with the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli renowned for the statue of Moses that Michelangelo created in 1545 for the tomb of Pope Julius II.

Together with your guide, you will go to Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, where the chains with which St. Peter was held prisoner are kept. The origins of this basilica are very ancient.

Next, we will see the Basilica of San Clemente, brought to light during the excavation work begun at the end of the 1800s.

The last attraction of our tour is Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, the cathedral of Rome. It is the mother and head of all the churches of Rome and the world. On the left side of the piazza is the Scala Santa: according to tradition, it is the same that Jesus went up to the Praetorium of Pontius Pilate.

In the right corner of the piazza is the Baptistery, built by Constantine, where it is said that he was baptized by San Silvestro.
