If you never visited the district Testaccio, this is a must-see district of Rome! Did you know that Testaccio market was born in the early 1900 for the workers of the nearby railway station Ostiense and those of the Mattatoio ( the cattle market)? Today the feature of the district has changed since many professionals came to live here appreciating very much the lively atmosphere of the district and the many excellent roman cuisine restaurants , pubs and cafe. Recently has opened a very modern market becoming the most popular attraction of the district. As for myself, I decided to live in Testaccio for its authentic roman spirit and been an archaeologist for the fascinating roman ruins populating the district, such as the ancient roman port of Rome along the Tiber river that I will share with you!
