Have fun with friends making pottery! Explore the magic of pottery making with guide and instructor Karl Burnett, a local ceramic artist who makes beautiful stoneware pottery. Get hands on instructions in a small private group class. Pottery making is beginner friendly and great fun for both young and old. Try the potter's wheel and get your hands muddy while having fun or relax while hand building your very own creation! In addition, see live exciting demonstrations at the potter's wheel by Karl followed by a tour of the tranquil tropical garden where the workshop is placed. You will also have the opportunity to acquire fine crafted pieces from the practicing local artist. This type of clay experience is unique to The Pottery Garden in The Virgin Islands. Cane Gardens Bay gets its name from the sugar cane which is still grown in the area to this day, Cane Garden Bay is famous for the various activities that are offered in the area. It is a favorite for sailors, sunbathers, swimmers and water sports enthusiasts.

Explore Tortola historic sites by traveling up Great Mountain Rd to a 460 foot mural on Fahie Hill where you will see a series of colorful murals done by different local artists. Each mural is a vignette of an old way of island life, from “banking” (terracing) crops on the island’s steep hills to cutting sugarcane to telling ghost stories by lantern light. We will pull over to give the murals a good look. Move on to J.R. O'Neal Botanic Gardens and the Rum Distillery one of the last of its kind in the British Virgin Islands. Continue on to the most famous Cane Gardens Bay Beach for 1 hour. Last is the Crafts Alive Village where you can shop for Tortolian clothes and souvenirs of your choice.

Highly rewarding hike uses a bush trail that winds up Mount Alma, the 736ft hill looming over Trellis Bay and Bluff Bay on Beef Island. Label as one of the best 360 view in the British Virgin Islands. In past years, a spring was present flowing from the mountain while parts of the mountain was use for cattle. These days it’s occasionally used by technicians maintaining an airport navigation light up there, and occasionally by hikers like us. In 2017 the trail was destroyed by hurricane Irma with fallen trees and land slides. In 2020 our team of three cleared and create a new trail all the way to the top! Now we can enjoy this hidden gem!
