Our day starts with a pick up at your accommodation in Porto or somewhere in the Douro Valley at 8:30am or 9:30am. During the day, you will have the wonderful opportunity to savor several Douro DOC and Port wines with commented tastings, a 50-minute boat ride at the small village of Pinhão, and a three-course meal with wines. It's now time to stop at the famous Pinhão railway station and enjoy some breathtaking landscapes. Relax: the time is all yours! Have an innovative perspective of this region’s history, culture, and gastronomy, while strolling through the vineyards where the finest wines from the “Quintas” (Wine Estates) are produced. We start in Pinhão, passing under the Eiffel iron bridge, sailing up the river to the Roncão area, returning to Pinhão. You will see terraced vineyards right down to the river, in a landscape without national roads or road traffic. Although the section of river on the way back is the same, it could very well be different, as when seen from another direction it creates completely different views and landscapes. Traditional Rabelo boats have open and closed areas, allowing comfortable navigation at any time of year and weather. Start your tour at the meeting point in Pinhão (our kiosk near the river). This 3 hour tour includes a boat trip along the Douro River and a visit to a local winery with a tasting of some of the region's best wines. Morning tours feature table wines, while afternoon tours focus on Port wines. Learn about the history and traditions of the region from your local guide during the tour. Transportation by minivan is included. Return to the meeting point when the tour ends. Available every day at 10am or 2pm.

We are one of the oldest traditional wineries in Douro Valley since 1872. On this tour we will start on our winery, were we will have the experience to check all the technical details process from our vinification methods followed by a local guide. Next stop we will be explore our wine cellar having the opportunity to experienced on first hand how we still aged our top red and white wines plus Port wines we do at Quinta da Foz. Depart from Pinhão, passing under the Eiffel iron bridge, and head towards the Roncão area, where you will turn around to return to Pinhão. Along the way, gaze down the hills of terraced vineyards to the river, without passing through national highways and without encountering any traffic in sight. Although you will follow the same route there and back, the impression will be that you have taken two different paths, since the views provided and the landmarks seen are completely different. Traditional rabelo boats have open and closed areas, so navigation will be completely comfortable in all types of weather, all year round.
